Dr. Tarka has over 30 years of Industry experience and most recently
held senior R&D leadership positions with Hershey Foods in the USA.
He is the author and co-author of numerous peer reviewed publications
and book chapters. Dr. Tarka is also an adjunct Associate Professor
in the Departments of Nutrition and Pharmacology at The Pennsylvania
State University.
He is also a member of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food
Additives (JECFA).
Expertise: Food ingredients/additives, GRAS ingredients,
indirect food additives, dietary supplements, pre-clinical and clinical
studies, nutrition, nutrition related policy issues, chocolate and
confectionery, product development, pet foods, and US, Codex, and
international regulations, and food safety.
